The Los Angeles Superior Court is honored to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze-tier DEI Leadership Seal by the State Bar of California. This prestigious recognition celebrates legal employers who are committed to taking concrete, research-driven steps to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, and we are proud to be among those making a meaningful difference.
As the State Bar has emphasizes, "having a diverse legal profession positively impacts the administration of justice, ensures fairness, and promotes the rule of law." The DEI Leadership Seal is awarded to legal organizations that actively implement the State Bar’s "Calls to Action," which were introduced in its 2022 Diversity Report Card. These actions include collecting and maintaining demographic data, creating a strategic DEI plan, measuring staff turnover and promotion rates, gathering employee feedback on DEI efforts, and maintaining a dedicated DEI professional. Each of these measures reflects a deep-rooted commitment to creating an inclusive, equitable environment for all.
